Galway's famous bustling market has been trading in the centre of Galway city, County Galway, for centuries. Visitors will find hundreds of stalls selling fresh produce and locally produced crafts. There's a great variety of food available, Madras curry, yummy crepes, Japanese Sushi and mouth watering handmade chocolates as well as all the ingredients for a delicious gourmet picnic. Many people come to the Galway Farmers Market to chat as well as to shop and it's a good place to meet the locals and hear local issues discussed. The market is open Saturdays and bank holidays from 8.30am-6.00pm and Sundays 2pm-6pm.
