This fine test of golf is 5,974 metres long and plays to a par of 70, with a standard scratch of 72 off the back tees. Access to the first four holes which run alongside Galway Bay is via an underground pedestrian tunnel. With an abundance of mature trees, elevated and tiered greens and plenty of wild gorse to punish the wayward shot, accuracy off the tee, a good short game and the putter must hot to score well - playing to a handicap here, the game is in good shape. Other golfing facilities include putting green, short game practice area, swing room, range and driving nets whilst the resident PGA Professional David Mortimer and his team are on hand to offer advice and assistance on all aspects of a visit and game. Pre or post round, or indeed both, relax in the comfortable surroundings of our 1st floor bar & dining room. Offering complimentary wifi, fireside dining and 360 degree views of Galway Bay and the Course. The dining room offers a wide and varied selection of dishes with ingredients sourced from local suppliers and all served by helpful and friendly staff who take pride in welcoming their guests. Visitors are most welcome and group rates are available. Galway Golf Club looks forward to welcoming you.
