See what Ireland has in store for you
Home to music, theatre, drama, literature, sports, stand up comedy and more, The Ulster Hall is one of Northern Ireland’s most famous and celebrated cultural landmarks, having been at the heartbeat of Belfast’s arts and entertainments scene for over 150 years. The iconic venue has hosted a galaxy of music superstars from the Rolling Stones to the Red Hot Chilli Peppers; from Van Morrison to Snow Patrol and from Led Zeppelin to AC/DC. Local boxing legends including Rinty Monaghan and Barry McGuigan have produced many electric, unforgettable ‘fight nights.’ Kings of comedy from Billy Connolly to Tommy Tiernan have reduced packed houses to tears of laughter. Literary geniuses from Charles Dickens and James Joyce to acclaimed contemporary writers have captivated audiences with their readings and stories. Built in 1862 the building itself is a beautiful example of Victorian architecture at its finest, and the perfect setting for the world-famous, Mulholland Grand Organ which dominates the dignified interior. Following a full refurbishment, today it is affectionately known as Belfast's 'home of music', catering for concerts ranging from the rock gigs to organ recitals. It is also home to the Ulster Orchestra and their programme of world class concerts. Explore the visual delights of the latest Ulster Hall exhibitions by celebrated local artists exhibitions. Discover more about The Ulster Hall and journey through key events in its history with an audio or guided tour. Full details of all events are detailed on the venue website (www.ulsterhall.co.uk) and a listings guide - Front Row, shared with its sister venue Belfast Waterfront - is available from box office or by post directly from The Ulster Hall. Ulster Hall is accessible – for full details of their accessibility features, see Ulster Hall | AccessAble
