Abhainn Rí is a superb self-catering accommodation found in the heart of Wicklow, surrounded by magnificent mountains, lakes, rivers, valleys, beaches, historic houses, heritage locations and family visitor attractions. Set in a rural location near Hollywood, Abhainn Rí overlooks the Kings River (Abhainn Rí) as it flows into the Blessington lakes. It is situated on 40 hectares of farmland, in one of Wicklow’s finest areas of outstanding natural beauty yet is only one hour from Dublin City. There are four three-bedroom cottages, each furnished and fitted in a country style suitable to the wonderful rural location. One of the cottages is specially adapted for a wheelchair user and is Wheelchair Approved by Rehab. The property also aims to be environmentally friendly and has a strong eco policy. The master bedroom is on the ground floor, and all bedrooms have ensuite. Inside each cottage, guests will also find a fully equipped traditional oak kitchen. There is a spacious living and dining area with cosy log-burning stove, colour TV, radio, and CD and DVD players. Bed linen and towels are provided, as well as washing up products, dishwasher tablets, tea towels and refuse bags. Guests have access to the large lawns and gardens, with a wooden picnic bench at each cottage. Providing an extraordinary service, Abhainn Rí also offers complimentary welcome tea and homemade cake on arrival. Guests can order breakfast in the nearby 170 year old farmhouse or book an Irish bread making class. Children can enjoy the farm experience by visiting the friendly animals. No pets are allowed.
