Nenagh Walking Tours

Relax as you stroll through the historic town of Nenagh led by your guide, who will bring to life the beginnings of the town during the Norman settlement and onward through the bloody medieval period, the Great Famine, war, and its eventual development into a thriving modern town. Take in the castle, jail, and old abbey, and get thrilling insights into famous events, buildings, and local people. This is a truly unique experience you won't want to miss. Kevin Whelan provides these historical tours, which start at Banba Square outside Nenagh Arts Centre, and last for approximately one hour, covering a distance of one kilometre. The tours take place every Saturday starting at 12pm. Private tours can be organised for schools, active retirement groups, tourists, and many others.
